Staff sign-in help

Use the private staff portal

The staff and compliance portal are one system at team.mystardental.com. Your practice administrator prepares your account and assigned role. Use your own email and private password. This sign-in page is separate from the public marketing website.

  1. Choose Sign in. Enter the exact email arranged by the practice and your private password.
  2. Submit the sign-in form. Complete a registered authenticator step if required.
  3. Wait for your own workspace to load. Home shows the next action for your current assignment.

Accept a staff invitation

A prepared roster entry, accepted email send, delivered invitation and activated account are separate steps. Do not share an invitation or a password.

  1. Choose Use invitation and enter the email to which the administrator sent your invitation.
  2. Open the newest Star Dental invitation email and enter its code into the code field. Paste only the code, not the full website link.
  3. Create your own private password, confirm it in the second password field and submit Confirm invitation & set password.
  4. Check that your own workspace opens. Tell the administrator if your role or assignment is wrong.

Recover your password

  1. Choose Recover access and request recovery instructions for your exact account email. Check the inbox and spam folder.
  2. Use the newest recovery email and its matching recovery-code form. A newer request can invalidate an older code.
  3. Enter the code and a new private password twice. Submit Update password & sign in.
  4. Confirm that the workspace opens. Receiving an email alone does not complete a password reset.

Resolve common account problems

Invalid or expired code: confirm the exact email, invitation versus recovery task and newest email. Request fresh instructions through the existing form when needed.

No email: check spelling and spam, then ask the administrator to inspect the saved recipient and delivery status. Avoid repeated rapid requests.

Inactive account: the administrator must review access. Changing a password does not reactivate suspended access.

Lost authenticator: use the account’s independent backup authenticator or contact the practice owner for independently verified recovery. Email recovery does not bypass enrolled two-step verification.

Keep passwords, email codes and authenticator secrets private. Never put them in trainer questions, employee documents, ordinary notes or screenshots shared for help.

Find the complete user manual

Once signed in and any required authenticator step is complete, choose Help for this page or Help & user guide. The manual has a searchable table of contents, page-specific instructions, troubleshooting and printable guides. Expanding this help does not request an email or change an account.
